The complete Waste & Recycling contract

Many of you, including BCBC councillors from all parties have been demanding to see the Waste & Re-cycling contract between BCBC and Kier.

Recently Bridgend County Independents published key extracts and called upon BCBC to post the contract on their website but we are still waiting.

Today BRIDGEND COUNTY INDEPENDENTS have uploaded the contract and its schedules onto our website so that you can all have access.

This contract should be available to all residents and service users so that they can understand the service that their council’s contractor should be delivering. It will enable councillors of ALL political persuasions to hold the cabinet and executive to account.

Transparency is essential in local government.

The wast collection should be taken back by the Council and run by the Council and there would be no buck passing I expect the contract was priced to low to make a profit.

It’s certainly not working. unclear of it was wrongly priced or it’s being badly administered but there needs to be change and soon!
